ASIS Women in Security - Silco Fire Systems Tour

Women in Security (WIS) hosted their Quarterly meeting February 12, 2026, at Silco in Grove City. "Safety Steve" provided a presentation about fire safety to the group. About 15 people attended, all from security integrators, many of whom are in the business of fire prevention, suppression and equipment. Silco is a leading provider in this industry. There was a great deal of networking and discussion regarding some of the proprietary fire systems. A tour of the training and extinguisher areas were also provided.

January 2026 - Monthly Meeting Recap

Twenty-eight people attended the January 15, 2026 ASIS meeting at Day Draft Sports Bar in Grandview (a new location). Tim Beverly swore in Justin Truth as the new Chapter Secretary.
Todays presentation was about Central Ohio Crime Stoppers. The information was provided by (left to right) Dean Boerger, Chris Wilson and Wayne Miller.
The role of Crime Stoppers was discussed which is providing awards for providing tips to help solve crimes. The talk included: the staffing and make-up of the organization, how the tip process worked, history of the Central Ohio chapter, statistics detailing the success of the organization, contributing sponsors and upcoming events. One event which was focused upon was an Indoor Street Market (Vendor, Art and Flea Market) being held Saturday February 7 2026 from 9am to 4pm at the Aladdin Shrine Center, 1801 Gateway Circle in Grove City.
